AKEPOX 5000 Flowing Epoxy is a premium low-viscosity, two-component epoxy adhesive and filler engineered for professional stonework, restoration, and construction applications. Its fluid, flowing consistency makes it ideal for creating thin, strong adhesive joints and seamless repairs, especially where larger surfaces and fine detail are involved. The system’s balanced formulation provides excellent workability and long-lasting performance.

Key Features

  • Low-viscosity, flowing epoxy resin: Easy to apply to cracks, seams, and cavities, forming very thin adhesive joints.
  • Excellent polishability: Cures to a high-quality finish that can be polished to blend with surrounding stone surfaces.
  • Transparent and colorable: Naturally clear with minimal discoloration tendency, and can be tinted for better visual matching.
  • Weather-resistant and solvent-free: Suitable for both interior and exterior stone installations without VOCs.
  • Food-safe certified: Certified for use in environments where food contact may occur.
  • Good adhesion on slightly damp stone: Provides robust bonding even when substrates aren’t completely dry.

Typical Uses

  • Bonding and laminating stone pieces: Creates strong, durable joints between natural and engineered stone panels.
  • Filling cracks and repairs: Ideal for addressing fissures, chips, voids, and restoration work.
  • Embedding and reinforcing: Can encapsulate reinforcement rods or fabric for structural strengthening.
  • Visible bond joints: Because of its clarity and polishability, it’s excellent for seams that remain exposed.

Technical Notes

  • Mixing Ratio: 2:1 (resin to hardener by weight).
  • Working Time: Longer workability due to slower cure enables careful positioning before setting.
  • Material Compatibility: Natural stone (granite, marble, limestone), concrete, terrazzo, glass, wood, PVC, and more.
