KNIFE GRADE BUFF 1 LT

TENAX Knife grade Buff – 1 Qt / 1 L is a high-quality colored polyester knife-grade mastic adhesive engineered for professional stone fabrication, repair, and finishing. This specialized adhesive combines strong bonding performance with excellent polishability, making it ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications on natural and engineered stone surfaces such as marble, granite, quartz, and other solid surfaces. 

Formulated with premium polyester resin, the buff color is useful for repairing, rebuilding, and filling where a close color match to lighter stone surfaces is desired. Once cured, the adhesive develops a shiny, polishable finish that blends smoothly with surrounding stone. Recommended for interior use and not suited for environments below 32 °F (0 °C), this adhesive is a versatile choice for seam work, edge repairs, laminations, and chip fills.

Instructions

Make sure the surface to be treated is dry, clean and free of dust. If coloring, add the coloring paste to the resin before mixing it with the catalyst. An excess of coloring paste may affect the final product so use caution. Mixing ratio of resin to catalyst is 100:2 - 3 (see chart below). Stir vigorously and apply. Do not place unused product back in can. Make sure the cans are sealed tightly after use.

Shelf Life

Keep away from heat, humidity and sun. Product will last at least 12 months if kept between 65° - 77°.
